From the bridge just off Glasgow Green yesterday, these rowers were huffing along in some quite severe heat. Well done then for putting their bodies on the line for the sake of a photo.

Marks! And also Spencers! I appreciate you want to make as much money from the jubilee as possible but some things just aren’t British. Because they’re Ukranian. Clue’s in the name. (Taken with instagram)

Nate’s first visit to the pub today! We made it a classy one, of course, West Brewery, just off Glasgow Green.

He didn’t try any of the beers today, but he did get into a stick-out-yer-tongue contest with his mum.

Finally, I entered the auditorium just in time to enjoy an anti-piracy commercial depicting an abandoned cinema wreathed in cobwebs, accompanied by a doomy John Hurt voiceover saying what a shame it would be if all the cinemas closed. Yeah, imagine that. I’d have to approximate the experience by punching myself in the kidneys and eating a £50 note each time I put on a DVD.

Charlie Brooker in Monday’s Guardian

You see, it’s GOOD that I can’t go to the cinema now!

Some minor housekeeping

I have done some tweaking of the theme, mainly in an attempt to set the photos off better. Clicking on a photo should also bring up a high res version in an overlay, rather than just being a link.

If you spot any glaring omissions in the changes, do let me know.
